Where movement science meets compassionate instruction
Core Wisdom Pilates is a boutique Pilates studio located in Boulder, CO, specializing in personalized, small-group training that meets clients where they are. Our unique approach blends traditional Pilates principles with modern movement science to help people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free.
What sets us apart is that we regularly work with a wide variety of ages, abilities, and injuries—sometimes all within the same class. With our intimate class sizes and highly personalized instruction, Core Wisdom has built a reputation for exceptional client care and a welcoming, supportive community.
We specialize in helping clients who need more individualized support than they typically find in a traditional fitness setting, including older adults, those managing injuries or chronic pain, and individuals seeking highly personalized instruction.
We believe that movement is medicine and that Pilates should be accessible, empowering, and safe for every body. Our goal is to help clients restore strength, mobility, and confidence, no matter where they're starting from.
If you're a motivated, caring, and curious instructor who wants to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, we'd love to meet you.
As a Core Wisdom instructor, you'll be more than a teacher—you'll be a trusted guide for clients navigating injuries, pain, movement limitations, and fitness goals while helping them build strength and confidence.
Because our classes often include a mix of ages, injuries, and experience levels, instructors must be able to adapt exercises, provide thoughtful modifications, and create an environment where every client feels successful.
You'll represent the Core Wisdom approach by delivering exceptional client care, fostering meaningful relationships, and helping maintain the welcoming community that makes our studio unique.
• Deliver group Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Mat classes, as well as private and duet sessions, in alignment with the Core Wisdom teaching philosophy
• Create safe, effective, and engaging sessions tailored to a variety of client abilities and needs
• Confidently modify exercises for clients with injuries, pain, or limited mobility while appropriately challenging more advanced movers
• Build strong relationships with clients by learning their goals, greeting them by name, and creating a warm, supportive environment
• Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled sessions to prepare the studio and remain available briefly afterward to answer questions and support clients
• Educate prospective and introductory-package clients about studio offerings and assist with appropriate scheduling recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment
• Communicate proactively with management regarding scheduling, client needs, and studio updates
• Participate in studio trainings and continuing education opportunities
• At least halfway through a comprehensive Pilates certification program (Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Mat)
• Comfortable working with clients of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels
• Strong understanding of anatomy, movement principles, and exercise modifications, or a demonstrated commitment to developing this expertise
• Warm, approachable, and skilled at creating a positive client experience
• Dependable, professional, and collaborative
• CPR/AED certification preferred but not required
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. While some evening and weekend availability is helpful, we strive to build teaching schedules around instructor availability whenever possible.
Teaching opportunities may include private sessions, duet sessions, and small-group classes. As the studio grows, additional teaching hours may become available. Our goal is to create a sustainable schedule that works well for both our instructors and our clients.
• $35–$50 per hour, depending on experience, certification level, and class type
• Continuing education stipend to support professional growth
• Health insurance stipend available for instructors averaging 20+ hours per week
• Optional mentorship and coaching with studio owner Kim Robins, who brings nearly 30 years of experience working with diverse populations and complex movement needs
• Free classes whenever space is available
• Supportive, family-like studio culture
• Small class sizes that allow for meaningful client relationships and personalized instruction
If you're passionate about helping people move better and thrive in a highly personalized Pilates environment, we'd love to hear from you.
