Pilates Instructor Wanted

OUR STORY

Core Wisdom is a boutique Pilates studio located in Boulder, CO, specializing in personalized, small-group training that meets clients where they are. Our unique approach blends traditional Pilates principles with modern movement science to help people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free.

What sets us apart is that we regularly work with a wide variety of ages, abilities, and injuries — sometimes all within the same class. With our intimate class sizes and highly personalized instruction, Core Wisdom has built a reputation for exceptional client care and a welcoming, supportive community.

OUR MISSION

We believe that movement is medicine and that Pilates should be accessible, empowering, and safe for every body. Our goal is to help clients restore strength, mobility, and confidence, no matter where they’re starting from.

If you’re a motivated, caring, and curious instructor who wants to make a real difference in people’s lives and develop advanced teaching skills through hands-on mentorship, we’d love to meet you.

THE ROLE

As a Core Wisdom instructor, you’ll be more than a teacher — you’ll be a guide and mentor for clients navigating injuries, pain, and movement challenges, while helping them build strength and confidence.

Because our classes often include a mix of ages, injuries, and fitness levels, teaching here requires a specialized skill set that goes beyond most standard Pilates training. That’s why mentorship is at the heart of what we offer. You’ll receive direct, ongoing guidance from Kim, the studio owner, who brings nearly 30 years of experience in working with complex client needs.

You’ll be a brand ambassador for Core Wisdom, creating memorable, high-quality client experiences and contributing to our studio’s growth while maintaining the highest standards of teaching, safety, and care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver group Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Mat classes and private/duet sessions in alignment with the Core Wisdom teaching framework

  • Create safe, effective, and enjoyable classes tailored to diverse client abilities and needs

  • Confidently modify exercises for clients with injuries, pain, or limited mobility, while appropriately challenging advanced movers

  • Build relationships with clients — learn their goals, greet them by name, and create a warm, supportive environment

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to prep the studio and stay up to 15 minutes after to answer questions and support clients

  • Educate prospective and introductory-package clients about our offerings and assist with booking sessions

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment

  • Communicate proactively with management about scheduling, client needs, and studio updates

  • Participate in mentorship sessions, in-studio trainings, and workshops to continue developing your teaching skills

  • Use personal client engagement — both in the studio and via social media — to help grow attendance and retention

PRE-REQUISITES & ATTRIBUTES

  • At least halfway through a comprehensive Pilates certification (Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Mat)

  • Eager to learn and open to mentorship, especially in working with injuries, chronic pain, and older populations

  • Comfortable working with clients of all ages, sizes, and abilities

  • A solid understanding of anatomy, movement principles, and exercise modifications (or willingness to develop this expertise)

  • Warm, approachable, and able to create a supportive, encouraging client experience

  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented — someone who wants to grow with the studio

  • CPR/AED certification preferred but not required

HOURS OF WORK

This is a part-time role focused on a few evenings and Saturdays. We’ll work with you to build a sustainable, consistent schedule. As the studio grows, additional teaching hours may become available.

DEVELOPMENT & MENTORSHIP

At Core Wisdom, we’re passionate about helping you become the best teacher you can be. Unlike most studios, we provide hands-on mentorship and specialized training so you’ll feel confident working with a wide range of injuries, abilities, and ages.

As part of our team, you’ll participate in:

  • One-on-one mentoring sessions with Kim

  • In-studio workshops on advanced topics

  • Collaborative learning with other instructors

  • Opportunities for career growth as the studio continues to expand

PERKS & BENEFITS

  • Free classes whenever space is available

  • Ongoing hands-on mentorship and professional development

  • Supportive, family-like studio culture

  • Small, intimate class sizes with lots of personal connection

If you’re ready to grow as a teacher, deepen your skills, and join a studio that’s truly different from the rest, we’d love to hear from you!
