Post Gardening: Side-Lying Twist

I don’t know about you but after some time in the garden my back burns. As conscious as I try to be about not hunching and rounding forward I still fall into that shape while tending to my plants. This gardening season we want to help everyone gain strength to maintain better gardening posture and recover quickly from back soreness from our hours out in the garden. This month we will highlight a few exercises and stretches that will help strengthen our backs as well as bring ourselves back to a neutral spine. Our first video blog will demonstrate a gentle side-lying twist to help neutralize the spine. This can be done on your bed if you can’t get down on the floor. You’ll want a pillow or blanket for your head.
