Pilates Sessions & Descriptions

Pilates | Pilates in the Park

Assessment Session:

This session is 75 minutes in length. In this session we will assess the alignment of your structure; your core strength and how it is supporting your structure; your strengths, restrictions and weaknesses; the balance of your tissues, stability of your joints; and your efficiency of movement. This is a highly informative session that gives you a big picture of where your body is and what needs to be done to achieve your goals. The depth of information gained from this session will provide a solid base from which to strategically plan for further sessions. Together we will set goals, a time line and a session schedule.

Private Session:

This session is one on one with an instructor and is one hour in length. Any or all pieces of Pilates equipment will be used. Private sessions are great for learning the fundamentals of Pilates, rehabilitation of injuries, receiving instruction specific for your body’s needs and fine tuning your movement patterns. The information gained that is specific to your body is invaluable to the Pilates classes you also participate in and for integration of Pilates into your daily activities.

Pilates plus Cardio Session:

This session is a Private Pilates session with the addition of a Cardio component. It is 90 minutes in length. The cardio component can be running, cycling, hiking, or walking. During the Cardio work we will assess your efficiency, in the movement of your choice, and work to improve any patterns of imbalance.

Pilates Equipment Classes:

These classes are three students to one instructor and are one hour in length. A combination of both Reformer and Table work are incorporated into each class unless requested otherwise. This dual work allows for a deeper understanding of the exercises, provides for more specific work throughout the body and gives the much needed feedback for one to excel in the Pilates work.

Mat Classes:

Mat classes consist of up to 3 students and one instructor and are also an hour in length. These classes are small to provide for individual attention and so that integrity will not be lost. Pilates Mat work does not use equipment and can be done at home or when traveling. These classes will go through a flowing sequence that builds core strength and increases flexibility.

Cancellation Policy:

All sessions and classes require 24-hour cancellation notification. Any session or class cancellation made with less than 24-hour notice will be charged the full session fee. Thank you for your awareness and consideration of all impacted for late cancellations.
